More years, more candles, more friends, more love!!!

My birthday was just the way I love it, surrounded by great people, delicious food, and lots of vibrating energy!
My day was quite normal but very special... I went to work, but almost didn’t work… lol the day was pretty quite there…
I got so many cute emails, messages, phone calls… each of them were really special. I have no words to thank all!
I went to have lunch with Carol and Cris, it was fun and delicious! I had this amazing pumpkin risotto… and to complete it they also got me a marvelous cream Brule cake. Amazing! Had a great time… 1:30 hour lunch! Ok, ok… it was my birthday so I am fine…

Zildo had class on that day, so we decided to celebrate more on the day after… so, joined by great people; I went to Favela, a Brazilian restaurant in queens. We had a great time!! And I am very thankful for everyone that took the time to go there celebrate with me! It was very special to share that day with all of them!! So here we go, thanks to: Carol, Jenny, Cleber, Fafa, Helder, TJ, Phil, Mumu, Jana, Ivana, Karini… thank you all so much! I had an amazing time!!!

The spookiest day of the year…

This post is for my good Friend, Paola!! The spookiest friend ever! Lol… well, you may not know her, but she is the sweetest craziest person obsessed about Halloween! Hahah… well, Paola has an English school in Brazil, and her Halloween party is the biggest event in the year!

This year she was here, in NY, to buy all sorts of things for her Halloween party… and she got crazy with the verity of options we have here…
So I promised her I would take some pictures and send it to her…
This year was my first "trick or tread'' Halloween. Because it was on a Sunday, I was able to go out with my little ones, and we had a great time!
The weather wasn't too nice, it was really cold, and I thought  I would loose my fingers at some point!! Lol

Babi was dressed up as garden ferry, and she had her hair pink! She loved it.

Bryan was Scooby Doo,

Carol was a dark angel,

And I was a graduated student.

The kids were so well behaved! They would ring our bell, get ONE candy and then leave…
Babi, was like that too… and she was afraid of the houses with too much decoration… too cute!

Bryan, even though is a candy lover, was more interested in the decorations… I even caught him trying to take ones of the neighbor's pumpkins… we had to explain him that these were just for him to look… so funny…

Even Zildo, who is not a big Costume person, had to put on his Halloween costume too! This is because one of his friend from school is leaving the town, and had a Halloween / farewell party, and we had to think of something last minute… so since it was too cold, and the party was going to be on his rooftop, we decided to get our wetsuits and rock the party as a surfer couple! I even had my board with me… It was supper funny! I loved that Zildo got a little excited about this whole Halloween thing, and is even considering doing it again in the future! Fingers crossed!!!

We had a great weekend after all… my first real Halloween was very fun! Here are some pictures for you Friend!

Saturday was a great day! Leandro and I have being working a lot on our bathroom… (Pictures will come soon!!!!) and after a long day working on putting the house back into place we headed off to Queens to celebrate the birthday of a great friend… Adilson!
Everything there was great! The people, the energy, the food! Oh well, talking about food, Adilson's sister had prepared a delicious Brazilian meal to everyone! They are more than great chefs! The food was amazing!
I was about to have food coma, when Leandro called me to go to the other room to meet one of his colleagues, and when I came back to the main room the lights were all off and they started to sing ''happy birthday" well I singed too. It was around the middle of the song I realized that everybody was looking at me… I found weird and started to look for Adilson (the birthday boy!) well, after a few seconds, I realized that they were all singing it to ME!!!! I was shocked! Blushing! Almost crying… a whole bunch of emotions at the same time…

Adilson is this sooooo incredible and sweet person, which shared his birthday party with me! He even had a birthday cake for me!! I was so happy!! And really surprised! I had no clue this would happen… it was great to celebrate my birthday there as well, and I would like to once again thanks Adilson and his family for such a wonderful surprise! I had a great time!
Thanks you all!!!

And happy birthday to us!!!!!

Living in a big plastic bag!!

Originally written on October 20th 2010

This bathroom renovation was way much bigger than we have expected.. Specially because we had some complication on the first day… (one of the wall was completely rotten by the humidity, and had to be completely redone). I heard it was disgusting! Well, while my house was a mess, and bathroomless, I took some time off and went to my Dad's house, lets call it, a vacation… lol
I say vacation because while I was far far away my dear husband was working really hard dealing will all the bathroom renovation (complications)…

I came back home as soon as we had the toilet installed, even though we had no shower! Yes, you read it right, no shower! We were going to the Gym to take shower every night… so funny.

We just had out first bath at our brand new bathroom this last weekend, and let me tell ya, man! That felt good! The bathroom is really cute! At least we think!! Lol… and we are really proud of our work…
We will show some pictures very soon, I just want to put all the detail in place!! So it will look complete!!
In the mean time I'll show you how we are living now… the house still all wrapped up! Because of the dust caused by the renovation… and since our next step is to add some color to our nest, well we decided that is better to keep it all protected… and we will be living in a big plastic bag!!

today... and Forever... Hoje.... e Sempre.....

This weekend we celebrated our first year as husband and wife! Yaeh!!!! We couldn’t be happier!!! This last year was amazing… we accomplished together, and have shared a lot of love, friendship, trust, companion… I can’t describe how good is to have him as my husband…

And to celebrate this great year, we had planned a weekend of lot of fun, knowledge, and inspirations for the many years to come!

We started the weekend at the beach… one of our favorite places! We went to Long Branch Friday night, to stay at a gorgeous beach house… thanks to Leandro’s friend Nilson. The house was amazing, and the weather was really nice!

A casa é incrível, e o tempo estava maravilhoso.

Saturday night, we went out to have dinner with our great Friend Fabio “Bahiano”, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was so much fun! It was a Japanese restaurant that servers “Hibachi” a Japanese style stake house, where the chef performs the cooking in front of the diners. It was so fun!!

Sunday, September 19th, our date, we headed back to New York; we had a busy schedule for the day… we first went to the 2nd Spiritist Forum of NY. We were very exicited about!! The lecture was amazing!! The forum was amazing, great speakers and a lot of enlighten thoughts and great vibrations. And better than that, we could spend part of the day with so many special people that actually spent our wedding day with us!!

To close with the”gold key” as we say in Portuguese…. We went to Lincoln Center to see a performance of the Orchestra Filarmônica Bachiana from Brazil, with the Conductor and pianist João Carlos Martins. Since I learned about his life, full of achievements, challenges and triumphed over, I started to admire this man that faced so many difficulties, but never gave up with his passion for music. I was amazed by the love that he transmits when he is plays and conducts. I wasn’t expecting seeing him playing the piano, it was one of the most emotional things I have ever seen… his love and perseverance is contagious. He is an admirable man.

That concludes our incredible celebration; we are more than inspired to keep growing together!

We would like to thank you all for sharing this special day with us. The ones that we could share it in person, all the ones that called us, emailed us, sent us cute Facebook and twitter messages… and special to all the ones that sent us great vibrations and love!!! We love you all!!!
